MY STORY

Caleb Womble, the founder and craftsman behind Wombi Customs, began knife-making solely out of his love for knives. Forced out of work by an unexpected injury, he began his *craftmanship* as a hobby, but it quickly grew into a side business specializing in custom, handcrafted knives designed for EDC, outdoors, and culinary use. The following months were consumed with studying, immersing himself in the craft, communicating with other knifemakers, and - more than anything - grinding steel. Today, he continues to hone his craft, refining his skills with each blade. While Womble has a zeal for knifemaking, he creates his blades in his spare time, as he is also a husband, father to three children, and a youth pastor.   Wombi Customs is much more than a business to Him. It is truly a passion that was founded out of simple curiosity. More important than the products he makes are the customers and other makers he has connected with along the way. These like-minded artisans have truly changed his life. It is his hope that his story will inspire others to try something creative and not allow their lack of knowledge to hold them back.
